What you can change here
User settings cover things that are not directly part of forecasting, for example:
- profile/account details
- security (password)
- basic app options
Country & regional support
Valutra’s core planning features work in all countries.
The country setting works like a user-level default (similar to your default currency):
- It affects new or edited items going forward.
- It does not rewrite existing data retroactively.
- No automatic conversion/recalculation of past amounts happens just because you change the country.
Some features are country-specific:
- VAT planning is currently Germany-only (DE).
- If you switch to a country where VAT is not supported, VAT features are hidden and VAT is disabled.
- When VAT gets disabled (explicitly or via a country change), unpaid VAT plan items (without linked payments) are removed, while already paid/historical VAT plan items remain.

- the time range/filter is not what you expect
VAT (Germany)
Note: VAT and business settings are typically relevant for freelancers/self-employed and companies. If you are employed, this is usually not relevant.
If you use VAT features (VAT breakdown, Sales tax modal, auto-generated VAT advance payments), the relevant toggles and parameters live here as well (e.g. accounting method, reporting frequency, payment day, default/reduced rates).
